SPARTANBURG, SC (WSPA) — As if the Christmas Tree Cakes ice cream Little Debbie rolled out over the holidays weren’t enough, now the legendary snack cake brand has seven new flavors to mount an assault on what’s left of your weight-loss resolutions.

Little Debbie and Hudsonville Ice Cream have partnered to take seven of the most popular Little Debbie snacks and market them in ice cream form. The challenge here isn’t which one you’ll pick, but how many different flavors you’ll have in your freezer at the same time, since we all know we’ll eventually try them all.

The only saving grace is that they’re only available in pints, so at least you won’t find yourself on the couch surrounded by empty half-gallon or quart containers.

The flavors include:

The ice cream will be available in pints, each costing $2.50, at Walmart stores beginning Feb. 1.

Fans reacted to the companies’ joint announcements with joy. Those fans included ESPN radio host Mike Golic Jr., who replied, “I want to try them all but also Swiss Cake Roll is going to own my soul.” Meanwhile, entrepreneur Jamie M. Timbre tweeted: “Need to try Swiss roll ice cream. Stat.”

Little Debbie cakes are a staple of any Southern childhood. I had Nutty Buddy bars or Oatmeal Cream Pies in pretty much every sack lunch I took to school in Zachary, Louisiana in the ’70s.

The bakery began in 1934 in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The “Little Debbie” of the name is the granddaughter of the founder. From humble beginnings, the Oatmeal Cream Pie Empire now covers all 50 states plus Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
