What you need to know about Apple’s latest devices
With updated designs, new colors and all-new capabilities, the latest slate of Apple products will surely be a hit this fall and for the holiday season. Some items won’t be available for preorder until later this week, but others can be reserved for purchase right now.
The iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max and iPhone 16 Plus were unveiled today, and Apple is promising many new features. The iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max boast the thinnest borders on the company’s phones to date and are available in White, Black, Natural and Desert. The iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus are made of aerospace-grade aluminum in an array of fun colors, including Ultramarine, Teal, Pink, White and Black. The new phones offer customizable action buttons, an A18 chip, and a camera resolution four times that of the iPhone 14. They’ll also be Apple’s first phones equipped with Apple Intelligence, allowing users to create custom emojis. Preorders for all phones will be available on September 13.
Apple Watch Series 10 and Apple Watch Ultra 2
Featuring a new S10 chip and the thinnest design ever, the new Apple Watch Series 10 offers the largest display of any of the company’s watches. The wide-angle OLED Display means the screen is brighter when viewed at an angle, enabling users to read it more easily. Advanced sensors promise to deliver the most accurate heart rate and health information from Apple’s watches to date. The aluminum case is available in Silver, Rose Gold or Jet Black. The titanium case comes in Natural, Gold or Slate. The Apple Watch Ultra 2 boasts a depth gauge for scuba diving, a dual-frequency GPS and an advanced compass app. They’re both available now for preorder.
Apple AirPods 4, AirPods Pro 2 and AirPods Max
Apple is majorly leveling up with its latest AirPod devices, starting with the AirPods 4. Offering a powerful H2 chip and active noise cancellation for the first time, this design is equipped with a USB-C charging case. The AirPods Pro 2 has new health features, including hearing protection and even a hearing test that can help users turn the AirPods Pro 2 into personalized hearing aids. The user’s hearing profile will then apply to anything they’re listening to. The AirPods Max are available in super cute new colors – Orange, Purple and Starlight. The AirPods 4 and AirPods Max are both currently accepting preorders, and the AirPods Pro 2 can be ordered immediately.
