Man stole $11,000 worth of cigarettes from Delaware Walgreens: Police

WILMINGTON, Del. (NewsNation) — The Delaware State Police are asking for the public’s help in identifying a shoplifter dubbed the “Cigarette Bandit” for allegedly stealing $11,000 worth of cigarettes on Thursday.

The incident occurred at a Walgreens in Wilmington when an employee was occupied in a different area of the store, the police said.

The suspect snuck behind the counter and stole the cigarettes, according to the agency’s Facebook post.
