MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A man was taken into custody after a search warrant at a Trenton, Tennessee apartment revealed 11 pounds of marijuana and thousands of dollars in cash.

On Tuesday, agents with the West Tennessee Drug Task Force served a search warrant at the Crockett Manor Apartments in connection to a drug investigation.

As Gibson County SWAT officers entered the second-story apartment, a man opened a bedroom window and threw a large duffle bag out, which reportedly landed right at the feet of an agent on the ground outside.

The agent below watched as a “nearly nude man” began climbing out of the bedroom window. When the ground agent began speaking up to the man, he crawled back inside “to the waiting arms of officers,” the WTDTF said.

He was then taken into custody.

Seven pounds of marijuana and an electric scale were found inside the bag. Inside the man’s apartment, officers found a second suitcase that contained another four pounds of marijuana. Agents also found a loaded Glock handgun and over $4,000 in suspected drug money.

The man, who was out on bond from a neighboring jurisdiction was arrested and charged with drug and weapons charges and tampering with evidence.
