Jan. 6 riot punishments, Spears’ conservatorship and K-9s take bullets meant for deputies

NEW YORK  (NewsNation Now) — Should those who were just trespassing during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol have the book thrown at them, too? A new plea deal and a judge’s comments about a woman who spent minutes or even seconds on the Capitol grounds is raising the question. Former U.S. Attorney Michael Moore weighs in.

Britney Spears’ dad is out as conservator, but she’s still not running her own affairs. We’re unpacking the drama from today’s hearing and asking attorney Andy Mayoras why he thinks the conservatorship didn’t end years ago. Mayoras’ focus is in on trust and estate disputes.
