Trump and Harris shift their policy positions to the center

Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump have shifted to more moderate policies during their campaign, says NewsNation host Dan Abrams. For example, Harris has now said she won’t ban fracking, a reversal of her position during her first presidential run. Former President Donald Trump has shifted his views on abortion and distanced himself from Project 2025, calling the proposals “too extreme.”

Former Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan tells “Dan Abrams Live” that Harris and Trump’s more moderate political tone is a “good thing,” arguing voters are looking for candidates who are “actually more moderate.”
