(NEXSTAR) – It’s probably far too late to snag a dinner reservation at a top-rated restaurant this Valentine’s Day. But if you act fast, you can still book a table for Valentine’s Day in 2025 — provided you’re still with your current spouse/significant other.
If you are still in a loving relationship next year, Yelp has released a list of America’s “most romantic” restaurants for a Valentine’s Day date night. To determine the top 100, the analysts at Yelp first identified restaurants with reviews that most frequently used the terms “romantic,” “date night” and “valentine,” and then ranked those businesses based on their overall ratings and volume of reviews.
The final rankings include plenty of beautiful bistros, charming chophouses and adorable Italian eateries — all the places your soon-to-be ex would have loved to go, if only you had the forethought to plan ahead.
At the top of this year’s list is Penumbra, a Chicago eatery that earned high marks among Yelpers for its steaks, seafood, atmosphere and service. (Penumbra also earned Yelp’s title of “most romantic” once before, in 2019.)
“This was definitely a 10/10 in our books,” one recent reviewer wrote. “My boyfriend and I came in to celebrate our anniversary. We had zero complaints.”
California, meanwhile, was home to most of the restaurants on the list (18), followed by Florida (12), Texas (eight), and Arizona and Nevada (six each).
