CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — Popular reggaeton global ambassador J Balvin is teaming up with McDonald’s for a celebrity collaboration menu available Monday.
The Columbian-born singer known as the “Prince of Reggaeton” scored a whopping 13 nominations for the 2020 Latin Grammys, including two nominations for album of the year and two for record of the year.
The J Balvin Meal features a Big Mac sandwich, medium fries (with ketchup) and an Oreo McFlurry according to a news release. Customers purchasing the meal through the McDonald’s app will receive the McFlurry free of charge.
“He’s always been a regular at McDonald’s restaurants during his concert tours, and now we’re excited to bring his go-to order to our menus across the U.S.,” said McDonald’s U.S. Chief Marketing Officer, Morgan Flatley.
“I am looking forward to sharing my signature order with my fans, along with more surprises that are to come with this partnership. ¡Lego!” said Balvin.
This is only the second time a celebrity’s name has been featured on McDonald’s menu since 1992, the J Balvin meal is available until November 1. In September, the restaurant’s Travis Scott celebrity meal was so popular that some McDonald’s locations faced ingredient shortages, according to Business Insider.
