(NewsNation) — All eyes are on Liza Minnelli — as fans wonder if the ailing star will make it to the premiere of her documentary at the Tribeca Film Festival next week.

The film, “Liza: A Truly Terrific Absolutely True Story,” is set to debut June 12, has earned rave reviews from the New York Times and is hotly anticipated.

As I reported in May, Minnelli, who hasn’t made an official public appearance since the 2022 Academy Awards when she was wheeled on stage by Lady Gaga to present Best Picture nominees, was too ill to attend the April 11 performance of “Cabaret” in honor of Joel Gray’s 92nd birthday.

A source had told me: “People offered to fly her private, with a nurse and doctor, and basically do everything including having a litter of boys carry her to the theater, but she couldn’t do it.”

At the time, Victoria Varela, Liza’s publicist, pooh-poohed the rumors of her ill health and told me: “I was just with her last month to shoot a huge campaign, and she was better than ever. She’s even recording again.”

When contacted this week, Varela said, “Liza hasn’t decided yet (whether or not to come).”

Fingers crossed she makes it. Here’s to Liza!
