KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Taylor Swift took home video of the year at the MTV VMAs Wednesday night and made sure to give a sweet shout-out Travis Kelce while accepting the award.

At the 2024 Video Music Awards, Swift took home one of the most prestigious awards of the night, video of the year, for “Fortnight” with Post Malone, beating out Ariana Grande, Billie Eilish, Doja Cat, Eminem and SZA.

Swift thanked Travis Kelce, her boyfriend, as well as a large number of others who contributed to the music video while accepting the award.

“Something that I’ll always remember is when I would finish a take and I’d say ‘cut’ and we’d be done with that take, I would always just hear like someone cheering from across the studio where we were shooting it, and that one person was my boyfriend, Travis.” Swift gushed.

“Everything this man touches turns to happiness and fun and magic.” Swift continued.

“So, I want to thank him for adding that to our shoot because I’ll always remember that.”

The Kansas City Chiefs tight end was not in attendance at the VMAs but said  he would be supporting her in an episode of “New Heights.”

“Hopefully Taylor can walk away with a few, she’s nominated for about 10 of those things. Hopefully she can walk away with some moon men,” Kelce said.

During her VMAs acceptance speech, she also thanked her Swifties for supporting her latest album, “The Tortured Poets Department” and attending “The Eras Tour.”

The evening ended with her tying Beyoncé as the most decorated VMA winner of all time, technically surpassing her count as a solo artist. Swift won 7 of the 12 VMAs she was nominated for.
