Missing daughter of ex-MLB player found; ex-boyfriend arrested

AUSTIN, Texas (NewsNation) — A missing Austin, Texas, mother of three and daughter of former MLB pitcher Greg Swindell was found Tuesday, according to Travis County Sheriff’s Office.

Brenna Swindell was last seen around 10:20 p.m. Thursday at Poodies Hilltop Bar in Spicewood, about 35 miles northwest of Austin, with her ex-boyfriend, Morgan Guidry, according to the Austin Police Department.

The sheriff’s office confirmed the 29-year-old was found “alive and well” overnight and was with Guidry. Officials said Guidry was arrested on a warrant and is in custody.

Neither Swindell nor Guidry had been seen for several days and their cellphones had been off since Friday. Though he did not specify where or how his daughter was found, Greg Swindell thanked the public for their help.

“She has been found. That’s all we have for now. Thank you to everyone. And I mean everyone who helped in the process,” Greg Swindell wrote in an X post Tuesday morning.

Police were concerned about “her safety and immediate welfare.”

According to court documents, in early July there was an alleged incident that led to an arrest warrant being issued for Guidry.

On Aug. 5, Brenna Swindell appeared to make a cryptic Facebook post about how hard it can be to let things go. However, just nine days before she disappeared, she also posted a video with her kids on the way to school.

Police reported that Brenna Swindell’s vehicle was last spotted in Colorado Springs or Denver. Her sister confirmed Monday morning that her last known location was in Boise, Idaho, KPRC-TV reported.
