Reality star calls pro-Palestinian protesters ‘Nazi wannabes’

(NewsNation) — Julia Haart, founder of AHM Nation and cast member of Netflix’s “My Unorthodox Life,” said pro-Palestinian protesters would be the ones marching the Jews with “tremendous joy in their heart during World War II.”

Haart joined “NewsNation Now” to discuss the pro-Palestinian protest that disrupted the Nova Music Festival exhibition in New York, where those gathered lit smoke canisters and flares and chanted slogans that some call antisemitic.

The exhibit was dedicated to the victims of the Oct. 7 Hamas attack on Israel. Demonstrations like New York’s are driving Haart to push back.

“I think we’re facing two concurrent wars,” she said. “We’re facing the war in Israel with Gaza and the terrorists in Hamas. We are concurrently facing a war with the hearts and minds of the world, which seem to be delighting and celebrating in the rape, mutilation, death and destruction of innocent Jewish people.”

Haart interpreted the pro-Palestinian protests as acts of celebration for the Oct. 7 attack. Those who support protesters’ efforts, however, say the demonstrations are shows of support for Palestinian civilians on the receiving end of Israeli military action.

“The educational system in this country is in tremendous danger,” Haart said. “These students are learning this from their teachers (and) from their college professors.”

When Haart’s son came to her with concerns about the teaching practices on college campuses several years ago, she said she dismissed those worries.

“I was wrong,” she said. “We were all wrong. We were complacent. We let them get away with … these people who are celebrating the death, mutilation, murder, and kidnapping of innocent people; they would be the ones marching the Jews with tremendous joy in their hearts during World War II. These are Nazi wannabes.”
