Trump accepts presidential nod on RNC’s final night: Recap

Former President Trump held the stage for over 90 minutes on Thursday night in delivering his speech accepting his party’s nomination for president.

The remarks were the culmination of four days of speeches and gatherings in Milwaukee.

The convention’s first three days, held in the shadow of an assassination attempt on Trump, have sought to showcase unity and enthusiasm around Trump’s third White House run. Trump’s running mate, Sen. JD Vance (R-Ohio), gave his first remarks to the convention Wednesday night, offering his view of where the party, and the country, needs to go.

Trump’s family has been omnipresent, with even his eldest grandchild giving a speech. On Thursday, former first lady Melania Trump and daughter Ivanka Trump made their first appearances.
