(NewsNation) — The two people running former President Donald Trump’s campaign are telling their people to stay away from “dangerous rhetoric” on social media, according to an internal memo obtained by the media watchdog site Mediaite.

“Please do not comment publicly on the occurrence of today,” read the memo from Trump campaign managers Chris Lacivita and Susie Wiles. “We condemn all forms of violence, and will not tolerate dangerous rhetoric on social media,” they said.

The memo also told staffers at Trump campaign offices in Washington, D.C. and West Palm Beach, Fla. to stay away from those offices on Monday “as we assess both locations.”

The campaign is beefing up its armed security at both offices and adding “additional security assessments.”

Ahead of his Sunday night speech from the Oval Office, President Joe Biden said, “There is no place in America for this kind of violence or for any violence for that matter.

“An assassination attempt is contrary to everything we stand for as a nation.  Everything,” he said. “It’s not who we are as a nation.  It’s not America, and we cannot allow this to happen.”’ It’s not who we are as a nation.  It’s not America, and we cannot allow this to happen.”
