Report: Minneapolis police budget larger after Floyd killing

(NewsNation) — In the wake of the killing of George Floyd more than two years ago, calls to defund the police in Minneapolis and other cities across the country rang out loudly.

Despite those calls, recent reporting from Mother Jones found that the police department in Minneapolis now has a larger budget than before Floyd’s death in May 2020.
