GREENFIELD, Mass. (NewsNation Now) — A western Massachusetts man was lounging near his pool when a bear wandered into his yard, resulting in a close encounter.
A home security camera captured a Greenfield man relaxing in a lounge chair when a bear meanders onto his lawn and approaches the pool. In the video, the bear seems to crouch near the pool water and then turn around to approach the man whose motionless feet are visible in the footage.
The bear tentatively paws at the man’s foot and makes contact, startling the man awake in the video shared by NewsNation affiliate WWLP.
Both bear and man seemed to be to be surprised by each other and the bear scampers off the property.
Thankfully, no person or curious bear was hurt.
