TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — The FBI has released nearly 400 pages of evidence in the Gabby Petito case, including a letter Petito wrote to Brian Laundrie.

“You know how much I love you, so (and I’m writing this with love), just please stop crying and stop calling me names, because we’re a team and I’m here with you. I’m always going to have your back. Sorry I got upset over a dumb piece of paper,” Petito wrote.

The letter, which was undated, mentions getting “back from NY,” so it appears it was written before the two left on their cross-country trip.

On a second page, Petito writes “I hope you understand when I’m upset it’s cause you make me love you too much. Now…stop crying!!! and come home and say you love me with a big hug. I love you.”

Also included in the documents are drawings from Laundrie’s notebook, including a piece of paper that says “trust no one” and a drawing of what appears to be a skull surrounded by the word “kill.”

The documents show a bill of sale for Laundrie’s gun, as well as photos from surveillance cameras of the van the pair was traveling in and photos of some of their belongings.

Petito disappeared during a cross-country trip in 2021 with Laundrie, who eventually returned to Sarasota without her.

Her body was found on Sept. 19, 2021, at Grand Teton National Park in Wyoming. A coroner determined she was strangled to death and left in the wilderness for weeks.

Laundrie was a prime suspect in Petito’s death, but he also went missing. He took his own life and his remains were found on Oct. 20, 2021 in the Myakkahatchee Creek Environmental Park, along with a notebook where he confessed to killing Petito.
