OKLAHOMA CITY (NewsNation Now) — A steer tried to make a getaway along an interstate in Oklahoma City, jumping into a river before being caught.
A helicopter pilot at NewsNation affiliate KFOR followed the runaway bovine as it ran along Interstate 40. The steer then jumped in the Oklahoma River.
Searchers eventually tracked the steer to a wooded area where a team on horseback lassoed the animal.
At this point, it is still unclear if the steer was given back to its owner or how it escaped.
