Woman uses Molotov cocktail to burn neighbor’s house: Police

Felicia Davis (SCSO)

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — A woman used a Molotov cocktail to burn her neighbor’s house in North Memphis Sunday night, according to Memphis Police.

Felicia Davis, 25, is charged with aggravated arson and is being held in jail on a $105,000 bond.

Around 10:15 p.m., officers say they responded to a home on Kney Street regarding a fire. The victim stated that his neighbor, Felicia Davis, threw a Sprite bottle that was on fire onto his front porch.

During that time, the victim’s entire porch caught on fire.

MPD says it started after the man went to get his tablet from his car parked in his driveway when Davis approached the gate and threw the Sprite bottle over the fence.

The victim says he called the fire department and was able to put out the fire with the fire hose connected to his house.

Fire investigators arrived at the scene and confirmed that a Molotov cocktail was inside a plastic bottle and a broken glass bottle on the porch. They also say that they found a burned backpack with tools inside on the walkway of the front door.

Davis refused to give a statement and was taken into custody at that time.

Felicia Davis is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday morning.
