KANSAS CITY, Mo. (WDAF) – A GoFundMe page set up for the family of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the woman killed in the mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade this week, has caught the attention of Taylor Swift.
Swift made donations on the Elizabeth Lopez-Galvan Memorial page totaling $100,000 early Friday morning.
Along with the donations was a note that read, “Sending my deepest sympathies and condolences in the wake of your devastating loss. With love, Taylor Swift.”
At the time of Swift’s two donations ($50,000 each), the fundraiser had almost reached its $75,000 goal. As of Friday morning, that amount had exceeded $190,000.
Approximately 1,700 people have made donations to Lopez-Galvan’s family through the fundraiser, according to the site.
Swift’s team confirmed to Variety that the donations appearing on the page were hers.
Kansas City police said a dispute between several people led to the deadly shooting Wednesday, right after the Chiefs’ Super Bowl parade. Lopez-Galvan was killed in the shooting, and another 22 people were injured.
Three suspects were initially taken into custody. Two of them, both juveniles, are still in custody, though police determined the third suspect wasn’t involved.
No charges have been filed at this time. The Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office told Nexstar’s WDAF that the juveniles will be charged if and when they are certified to stand trial as adults.
