Expensive cat targeted in Connecticut armed robbery: police

NEW YORK (PIX11) – Police are searching for two men accused of trying to steal an expensive cat in Connecticut Sunday afternoon.

Homeowners told police that the duo forced their way into their East Haven home and flashed a gun. The suspects allegedly demanded the residents give them their “high dollar value cat,” according to authorities.

The men are then accused of searching the home for the cat, but couldn’t find it and escaped in a blue BMW. The car was later recovered in Hamden, according to authorities.

Police believe the victims and the suspects knew each other.
