DUNMORE, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — An investigation revealed a man was allegedly using Uber to distribute drugs from his home in Dunmore, Pennsylvania.
The Dunmore Borough Police Department conducted a narcotics investigation in the area over the weekend.
Through the investigation, police said they learned Stephen Morris, 33, of Dunmore, was using Uber to pick up and drive various drugs to people.
As stated in the affidavit, an Uber driver would pick up “food” from Morris’ residence, and inside the bag were bottles of water and a box containing uncooked rice where the drugs would be hidden.
On Saturday multiple police agencies executed a search warrant for Morris’ house on Frank Street. Police say they seized “substantial quantities” of cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, and guns.
Morris was taken into custody and charged with various drug and firearms offenses.
