(WJW) — With extreme temperatures in the forecast, several Northeast Ohio schools have opted to close on Tuesday, which is expected to be the hottest day of the week.
Temperatures are expected to top 90 degrees in the area, with the heat index hitting 100 degrees, according to FOX 8 meteorologists.
Eight Northeast Ohio counties will be under a heat advisory on Tuesday afternoon: Ashland, Erie, Huron, Lorain, Ottawa, Richland, Sandusky and Seneca.

- Brooklyn High School (Polaris students should report to career center at their normal time)
