TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — An 83-year-old man who went missing after his flight from Florida was canceled due to lingering issues from the CrowdStrike outage last week was found on Sunday.

Patrick A. Bailey checked in for his flight out of Orlando International Airport on July 21, but the trip was canceled “due to lingering results from the CrowdStrike outage,” the Orlando Police Department said.

“Bailey spent the night at a local hotel and checked out the following morning. However, he did not take a flight home,” police said on X. He hadn’t been heard from since.

On Saturday, the man’s daughter told NBC affiliate WESH that Louisiana police were trying to follow a lead in his disappearance, but no other details were provided.

However, just a day later, on Sunday, the family announced Bailey was found and was safe. According to WESH, the family said the man took a bus home after his flight was canceled and didn’t realize anyone would be worried about his whereabouts.

“He is healthy and in good spirits,” the family told WESH.
