NJ mayor apologizes to Jason and Kylie Kelce after viral video

MARGATE CITY, N.J. (WPIX) – A New Jersey mayor offered Jason and Kylie Kelce dinner after a viral video showed the couple in a confrontation in Margate City.

A video posted by the Word to the Wide podcast seemingly shows Kylie Kelce confronting another woman, who yells “you’ll never be allowed in this town again” to the wife of the former Philadelphia Eagles star.

Kylie Kelce can be heard responding “you’re embarrassing yourself” as Jason Kelce stands nearby and another man appears to step between the two women.

Margate City Mayor Michael Collins, however, said the couple is more than welcome back. Collins made a statement apologizing to the couple for their experience and offering to pay for a date night “redo.”

“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason and Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend. As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.”

It’s unclear when the confrontation happened, but the video was posted Wednesday.

Neither Jason nor Kylie Kelce has made public comments on the incident, but Jason Kelce discussed his Memorial Day trip to Sea Isle on his podcast “New Heights,” saying he went to Uncle Bill’s Pancake House in Avalon.

“We went to the beach, had a lot of fun with the girls, ate a bunch of beach food,” he said. “We had a great time.”
