TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) —If you think you know the muffin man, think again.
It’s a modern-day love story between Norwegian swimmer Henrik Christiansen and the Olympic Village chocolate muffins.
Besides his incredible athletic skills, Christiansen is now known as the muffin guy, with what initially began as an innocent review of the Olympic Village food in Paris when gave the muffin an 11/10 rating.
In a hilarious TikTok series, the swimmer takes fans on his journey from rating the chocolate muffin, to walking out of the cafeteria with four in his hand.
Christiansen posted several videos on TikTok to sounds including, “Do you know the muffin man?” and “I feel like you’re just here for the zipline,” in which he and a fellow athlete reference the chocolate muffins being their motivation in Paris.
Other athletes have joined in on the fun, some reviewing the muffin themselves after the hype from Christiansen, while others joke about hesitating to try one, implying Christiansen will hunt them down.
TikTok users are now determined to find the Olympic chocolate muffin recipe not only for themselves but for the Norwegian swimmer.
“He gotta take the recipe back at this point or he’s gonna go through withdrawals,” one user commented on a related video.
Christiansen is competing in the men’s 1500m freestyle and the men’s 800m freestyle, but when he’s not in the pool, you can likely find him chowing down on a muffin.
