Twitter locks out Kanye Wests, takes down personal info of Forbes CEO

SAN FRANCISCO (NewsNation Now) — Kanye West’s Twitter account has temporarily been locked after he violated Twitter’s guidelines with a tweet detailing personal information of Forbes CEO, Randall Lane, has been removed, Twitter confirmed.

West allegedly posted a tweet with the phone number of Lane on Wednesday afternoon during a short time period where he detailed his grievances against the music industry. Shortly after the tweet was taken down and replaced with a note saying it violated Twitter rules.


“The Tweet was removed for posting private information, and the account has been temporarily locked in accordance with our Private Information policy,” a Twitter spokesperson confirmed to NewsNation.

Twitter says the first time the private information policy is violated the account will be suspended and temporarily locked. After the first warning, the account will be permanently suspended if continued.

West who is an accomplished singer, songwriter and rapper has 21 Grammy Awards for his music but is in the midst of a presidential campaign. He is on the ballot in a handful of states after entering the race later.
