Metro bus crash in Los Angeles injures at least 14 people
LOS ANGELES (NewsNation) — At least 14 people are hurt after a Los Angeles city Metro bus allegedly collided with car driven by a suspected DUI driver Wednesday morning.
Officials said a 17-year-old was arrested on suspicion of DUI after the teen’s car collided with the bus causing both to crash into a pole.
The Los Angeles Fire Department said fourteen people were taken to the hospital with three of them in critical condition.
Aerial footage from NewsNation affiliate KTLA showed what appeared to be a yellow Volkswagen Beetle heavily damaged in the crash and smashed up against a pole on the sidewalk near the intersection of Whittier Boulevard and Downey Road.
