DESTIN, Fla. (NewsNation) —  A family vacationing in Destin, Florida were in for a splashing treat after spotting a dolphin and capturing the encounter on video.

The family first noticed the dolphin swimming after fish in the water. They said it wasn’t long before the dolphin began leaping out of the sea several times, high into the air.

In the captured video, family members are heard cheering the dolphin on. A family member exclaimed, “he’s putting on a show.”

The family was vacationing on Crab Island, a popular tourist location between Pensacola and Tallahassee.
