WASHINGTON (NewsNation Now) — Both the Democratic National Committee and the White House press secretary are reacting to comments made about Black voters in America by White House Senior Advisor, and the president’s son in law, Jared Kushner.

The DNC spokesperson criticized Kushner’s remarks, while White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany came to his defence.

Kushner made the comments Monday morning on Fox & Friends. Watch the entire clip of his comments in the video player above.

A DNC press secretary responded with this statement: “This dismissive approach to the issues that Black voters care about is indicative of Trump’s callousness and disregard for the lives of Black people.”

McEnany reacted with this statement, “It’s disgusting to see internet trolls taking Senior Advisor Jared Kushner out of context……as they try to distract from President Trump’s undeniable record of accomplishment for the Black community.”
