ALLIANCE, Ohio (WJW) — Police officers rescued a woman whose sinking vehicle had gone into a river in Ohio Sunday night.

Officers from the Alliance Police Department broke one of the back windows of the woman’s minivan and brought her safely to the side of the riverbank, battling incredibly cold water. No one else was reportedly in the vehicle.

Alliance police identified the officers as Tussey, Tallman, Amabeli and McCord.

Watch NewsNation on WGN America Tuesday night at 8/7c to hear from two of the officers who rescued the woman.
