CHICAGO (NewsNation Now) — After the fall of Afghanistan, dozens of our U.S. ally nations are working to get their people out as the Taliban takes control.

While it was a U.S. decision to pull out of Afghanistan, nations across the globe are now frantically trying to get their citizens and Afghans who helped them out of the country.

On Wednesday, New Zealand loaded a military team onto an aircraft to repatriate the approximately 100 New Zealanders who were stranded there. Their military is expected to be there for at least four weeks.

Nick Kristof, a New York Times columnist who writes about human rights and Wall Street Journal reporter Jessica Donati joined “Banfield” to break down the latest in Afghanistan.

Also, is this the end of Facebook? The Federal Trade Commission says it’s too big and too powerful to be allowed to survive.

Lastly, actress Lucy Lawless joins “Banfield” to discuss her activism and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Watch “Banfield” weeknights at 10/9c on NewsNation.
