NEW YORK  (NewsNation Now) — Should those who were just trespassing during the Jan. 6 riot at the Capitol have the book thrown at them, too? A new plea deal and a judge’s comments about a woman who spent minutes or even seconds on the Capitol grounds is raising the question. Former U.S. Attorney Michael Moore weighs in.

Britney Spears’ dad is out as conservator, but she’s still not running her own affairs. We’re unpacking the drama from today’s hearing and asking attorney Andy Mayoras why he thinks the conservatorship didn’t end years ago. Mayoras’ focus is in on trust and estate disputes. He has worked on numerous cases surrounding conservatorship and asset disputes.

And a carjacking suspect shot two Florida K-9s earlier this month. The whole thing was caught on camera. We’ll hear from the Volusia County sheriff’s deputies and see the recovering K-9s live on-air.

Plus, a far-fetched idea is taking hold among many journalism watchdogs, media critics and others. It’s the premise that the media is not liberal enough, and that more partisan, left-wing voices are needed to offset the conservative media. Dan Abrams debates the topic with political commentator Jonathan Harris.
