Chris Seper

Chris Seper is the vice president and general manager of NewsNation Digital, responsible for the development, growth, and day-to-day operations of NewsNation’s website, mobile app, social platforms, and other new and emerging non-linear distribution channels.

Chris has a diverse career as a digital media entrepreneur, broadcast executive, and print journalist. Before joining NewsNation, he was a senior director of content strategy at E.W. Scripps, where he helped build and implement a new content strategy at Scripps’ local television stations. He also worked as a regional general manager for digital at Scripps.

Before that, Chris started his own digital media company, MedCity News. From 2009 to 2016 built MedCity into a home for trusted coverage of innovation and B2B insight in the life sciences and healthcare. He now sits on the board of directors of MedCity News’ acquirer, Breaking Media.

Chris also spent two decades as an award-winning print journalist. He worked as an editor or reporter at newspapers in Cleveland and Philadelphia as well as Phnom Penh, Cambodia, where he also wrote for The Washington Post and Christian Science Monitor. Chris grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and is a graduate of Eastern Illinois University.
