(NewsNation) — A Megabus carrying 47 people overturned on I-95 north of Baltimore, Maryland, on Sunday morning, according to the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company.

27 people suffered minor injuries, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

The crash occurred near Kingsville, Maryland, shortly before 7 a.m., fire officials said in a statement.

A total of 15 passengers have been transported to local hospitals with non-life threatening injuries, according to emergency officials. 12 injured passengers refused transport to local hospitals.

No other vehicles were involved in the incident and the crash is being investigated by Maryland State Police.

The transport operator said in a statement they are fully cooperating with all authorities and agencies.
