Caitlyn Becker joined NewsNation as a national correspondent for the network in January 2024.
Previously, Ms. Becker served as a Los Angeles based correspondent and senior reporter for The Daily Mail where she covered breaking news, entertainment, crime, and politics. She was also integral in growing the brand’s social media presence on TikTok through her extensive true crime coverage, helping to establish the outlet as the most followed news organization on the platform. From 2018 to 2023, she hosted a daily segment for KTLA News reviewing the biggest news stories of the day.
Prior to The Daily Mail, Ms. Becker served in various roles at The Blast, Yahoo!, and The Huffington Post. During the 2012 presidential election, she created content for MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell Reports, Now with Alex Wagner, and The Daily Rundown.
She started her career as a news assistant at NY1 where she covered major news events such as Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to the United States and President Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential election campaign. Ms. Becker is an Emmy Award-winning journalist and Webby Award-winning digital host.
Ms. Becker attended American University in Washington D.C., earning a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism with a minor in justice, law, and society.
