WRIGHT CITY, Mo. – A metro St. Louis couple says they were nearby when shots rang out at the Super Bowl parade in Kansas City Wednesday.

Adam and Leah Whitley said they had just walked away when shots were fired at the exact spot they were standing in moments before.

Once they got back to their car, Leah said it started to sink in what they had just been through.
