(NewsNation) — Two juveniles have been charged in connection to the Kansas City Chiefs parade shooting that left at least one person dead and 22 others injured earlier this week.

The two are now being held on “gun-related” and resisting arrest charges but more charges are expected as the investigation continues, according to a release from the Jackson County Family Court Division.

A third person, originally detained at the scene, has since been released.

One person died and 22 others were injured after police say a dispute between several people broke out into gunfire at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade in Missouri.

Of the nine children who were struck by bullets, only three remain hospitalized and are expected to make a full recovery.

Children’s Mercy Hospital health workers have been credited for triaging patients quickly and efficiently.

Overnight, mourners gathered at a vigil held to remember and celebrate the life of Lisa Lopez-Galvan, the 43-year-old woman who was shot and killed at the parade.

Lopez-Galvan was a beloved radio DJ, mother of two and a pillar within the Hispanic community in Kansas City.

“She was here to do good. She was a good person. This was senseless,” Lopez-Galvan;’s friend Christina Nunez said. “I think if it will help Kansas City, heal Kansas City and find a resolution to violence, I think she would gladly give up her life for that.”

The shooting has shaken the community, upending what was supposed to be a joyous day celebrating the Chiefs’ second straight Super Bowl win.
