(NewsNation) — It has been more than a week since Texas A&M University student Caleb Harris, 21, was last seen in the early hours of March 4 near his off-campus housing.

Caleb Harris had walked his dog shortly before 3 a.m., which his father, Randy Harris, told NewsNation that wasn’t unusual for him. The second-year student returned home with the dog and ordered Uber Eats at 2:45 a.m. He then left his apartment again to wait outside for his order.

He has not been seen since, and the order was found still sitting on the doorstep by Caleb Harris’ two roommates later that morning. Randy Harris said his son’s phone has been dead ever since.

On Wednesday, Randy and Becky Harris said on “Morning in America” that search efforts will continue throughout the day. They are hoping to continue to spread awareness of their son’s disappearance and hope to bring him home soon.

“My gut tells me he is out there. We need to find him and I just hope that he knows we’re looking for him and that he knows how many people love him,” Becky Harris said.

His family believes something isn’t adding up, saying he just vanished in the middle of the night.

“Caleb’s missing without anything,” Randy Harris previously told NewsNation. “No shoes, no wallet. His truck was locked, his keys are in the house.”

He noted that Caleb Harris had been preparing for school the next day, packing lunch and texting with his father about his plans before he disappeared. His mother, Becky Harris, said her son was a “creature of habit” and that his Uber Eats order of two Lunchables, an apple pie and a Red Bull was not out of the ordinary — especially since Caleb Harris had been planning on going fishing after classes Monday.

“That’s typically what he takes whenever he goes out fishing,” she said.

Police have taken steps to investigate those involved with Uber Eats, checking over timestamps and interviewing with the delivery person, Randy Harris said.

Randy Harris told NewsNation’s Chris Cuomo last week that his son has no medical conditions or mental health issues that might have contributed to his disappearance, and he doesn’t have a habit of leaving without letting people know where he was going. He described his son as a normal 21-year-old man who loves to fish and hunt.

Caleb Harris has brown hair and eyes, is 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighs around 180 pounds. Anyone with information is urged to call the Corpus Christi Police Department at 361-886-2840 or 361-886-2600.
