Denise Gitsham

Denise Gitsham serves as a political contributor for NewsNation. She joined the network in February 2024.

Currently, Ms. Gitsham leads her own public affairs consulting firm. With over two decades of campaign experience, she has worked at the highest levels of the federal government, from the White House to the U.S. Senate, as well as at the local level.

In 2016, she ran for Congress to represent California’s 52nd District in San Diego and practiced law on K Street before joining a client in-house. 

She is also the author of Politics for People Who Hate Politics: How to Engage without Losing your Friends or Selling your Soul.

Previously, Ms. Gitsham was a political commentator on various news outlets and wrote op-eds for national publications such as Politico.

As a regular contributor to Christian ministry group, Propel Women, she has also published articles pertaining to faith, personal growth, leadership, and relationships.

Ms. Gitsham is a graduate of the Georgetown University Law Center and Bowdoin College.
