HARVEY COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) — The sheriff’s office in Harvey County, Kansas, is warning people about the latest trends it’s seeing in the distribution and use of fentanyl.
The office says it’s even recently seen some more unusual versions of the extremely dangerous and deadly drug.
“We most typically find fentanyl in ‘Dirty 30s’ in our area — usually round, pale blue counterfeit Oxycodone pills that contain fentanyl,” the Harvey County Sheriff’s Office said. “More recently, we’ve had two cases where we’ve discovered pink-tinted fentanyl powder.”
Fentanyl is often consumed by someone using foil to smoke the pill or powder, according to the sheriff’s department. When it is smoked, there is a black, burnt residue left on the foil.
