NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — Country-rap artist Colt Ford suffered a heart attack after a show at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row in Gilbert, Arizona, on Thursday.

Ford was receiving care in the intensive care unit at the Banner Desert Medical Center in Mesa as of Friday morning, according to his team.

A representative for Ford told Nexstar that Ford was still in the ICU in “stable but critical condition” on Friday afternoon.

Ford, whose real name is Jason Brown, was previously a professional golfer before turning his attention to music. He is perhaps best known for co-writing “Dirt Road Anthem,” a song he and co-writer Brantley Gilbert originally performed on Ford’s 2008 debut album. Jason Aldean later had a hit single with the song after recording a version for his 2010 album “My Kinda Party.”

Ford had two performances scheduled for Friday and Saturday, in Primm, Nevada, and Lake Havasu City, Arizona, respectively. Both have been canceled, Ford’s representative confirmed.
