KANSAS (KSNT) – The manager and publicist for Mo Brings Plenty warned of fraudulent scammers looking to capitalize on the death of his nephew Cole Brings Plenty.

On Tuesday, April 9, the Manager and Publicist for Mo Brings Plenty, Michelle Shining Elk, published an alert warning of scammers. Elk said that Joseph “Joe” Brings Plenty, Sr. doesn’t consent to any merchandise made in his son’s name, image or likeness, that Mo Brings Plenty never contacts anyone through social media and that he doesn’t engage in direct messaging.

“We want to remind everyone that the people posing as Mo will tell you whatever they think you want to hear to gain your trust and/or sympathy, but its a scam,” Elk wrote on the social media post. “If you trust anything, trust this – Mo does not, has not, and will never use direct messaging to contact people.”

Cole Brings Plenty was first reported missing following an alleged domestic violence incident in Lawrence on April 2. He has appeared in shows like “Into the Wild Frontier,” “The Tall Tales of Jim Bridger” and the “Yellowstone” spin-off series “1923,” according to his IMDB page.

On April 5, deputies were called to the area of 200th and Homestead Lane. Upon arrival, they found an unoccupied vehicle. Deputies checked the nearby surroundings and found Cole Brings Plenty dead in a wooded area.
