- No further action was taken as the horse was just "horsing around"
(NewsNation) — A wandering horse joined commuters at Warwick Farm Station in southwestern Sydney on Friday night, Apr. 5.
Footage released by Transport for NSW shows the horse standing on the platform as a train approached. The horse remained behind the yellow line.
Transport for NSW posted about a “missing individual” heading for the train station, writing that the person was “wearing only a rug and demonstrating a bit of horseplay.”
In an update, the service wrote that after reviewing CCTV footage, the agency located the individual on the platform at Warwick Farm Railway Station. The individual “appeared to pursue an informant along the platform before unsuccessfully attempting to board a train service.” The individual then moved to the carpark area and was taken in by their owner, returning home in a stable condition.
The agency noted that no one involved in the incident intends to take further action, as the individual was “only horsing around.”
Local media reported that Warwick Farm Station is near a race course, but did not confirm whether the horse had escaped from there.
