(NewsNation) — After more than 10 years since the final episode of the iconic NBC sitcom, a new series from the “The Office” universe is on the way.

The new untitled series will have the same mockumentary style as the “The Office” did, Peacock announced Wednesday. The show is set to follow a struggling historic Midwestern paper and its publisher’s attempt to revive it with volunteer reporters, according to a news release.

“This new series set in the universe of Dunder Mifflin introduces a new cast of characters in a fresh setting ripe for comedic storytelling: a daily newspaper,” Liza Ket, president of NBCUniversal Entertainment, said in the release.

Greg Daniels, who created “The Office,” and Michael Koman, co-creator of “Nathan For You,” will executive produce the new series.

“Ex-Machina” star Domhnall Gleeson and “The White Lotus” actor Sabrina Impacciatore will lead the ensemble cast, Variety reported. Character details have not yet been released.

Production is set to begin in July, though it’s unclear when the show will premiere, according to Variety.
