(NewsNation) —  Errol Hill, a 9-year-old from Fort Worth, Texas, nearly lost his life after bullets sprayed his home earlier this month.

Dramatic security footage obtained by NewsNation captured the moment bullets came flying into his home during a drive-by shooting. Hill was sitting on the couch with his two dogs when the room filled with dust as the bullets hit the wall.

Hill told NewsNation host Jesse Weber during an appearance Wednesday night on “Banfield” that he no longer feels safe at his home.

“I came from the kitchen after eating dinner. I was on the couch to chill out. … Suddenly, I heard some sound, and the wall busted right open. And then I saw that bullet, so I ran as fast as I could to my mom and dad’s room,” Hill said.

Six people, including four children, were injured in the drive-by shooting. The victims’ ages range from 3 to 19, according to NewsNation Tampa, Florida affiliate WFLA.

Hill’s mom, Maryjane Gonzales, recounted her experience after the shooting. After ensuring her son was OK, she quickly rushed outside to help more wounded children.

“I heard them screaming,” Gonzales said. “I saw the first girl with a wound to her leg. Then I saw a 3-year-old covered in blood. … I started applying pressure to the wounds. That was really tough. I kept telling her to, ‘Stay with me, baby.'”

Gonzales started a GoFundMe to help the family move to a “safer environment.”
