ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. (NewsNation) — A Florida woman who was pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence was arrested after leading officials on a high-speed chase down Interstate 95.

Alexandria Mason led multiple law enforcement agencies on the chase for 20 miles May 29, at times reaching speeds of 90 mph, the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.

On Monday, the sheriff’s office released footage of the chase that begins with a deputy approaching Mason’s pickup truck and asking for her license and registration.

“What’s going on?” Mason replied.

The deputy explained that she had a warrant out for her arrest in Citrus County for failure to appear in court on charges of possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia, WJXT-TV reported.

“You’re not allowed to stop me,” Mason said as she denied she was wanted and pulled off.

Deputies immediately chased Mason on Interstate 95 going north, and the Florida Highway Patrol later joined the pursuit, WJXT reported.

The news station reported that a trooper was able to perform a PIT maneuver, which caused Mason to lose control and hit a Hyundai Santa Fe, damaging both vehicles and two Highway Patrol vehicles.

No serious injuries were reported.

A stolen gun, drugs and a controlled substance were found in Mason’s truck, the sheriff’s office said.

Mason faces charges of reckless driving, DUI, aggravated fleeing and eluding law enforcement, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a stolen firearm, the sheriff’s office said.

She is still in jail and has a court date set for June 24.
