Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs faces new lawsuit
- Diddy continues to face backlash amid multiple abuse allegations
- Lawsuit alleges he groomed a woman for sex trafficking at 'white parties'
- Reports: Investigators presenting evidence against Diddy to grand jury
(NewsNation) — Sean “Diddy” Combs is facing another sexual misconduct lawsuit, marking the tenth such suit filed against the music mogul since November.
In the new suit, a woman accuses Diddy of grooming her for sex trafficking at his “white parties” between 2004 and 2009.
The suit comes after Diddy’s legal team was notified last week that he was the subject of a federal criminal investigation.
Two sources familiar with the situation confirmed to NBC News that federal investigators are presenting evidence against Combs to a grand jury in the southern district of New York. The nature of the evidence and the accusations against Combs are unclear at this time.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office has not confirmed the investigation. Grand jury proceedings are typically conducted in secret.
Sources tell NewsNation that if an indictment does come down, it could potentially be dropped within the next two or three weeks.
That news comes three months after his homes in Miami and Los Angeles were raided by authorities.
In May, video surfaced of the rapper attacking ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura in a hotel hallway in 2016. Combs previously denied violence toward Ventura when she sued him last year, but he later apologized on social media when the video leaked.
While it does not seem like Diddy’s legal issues are going to let up anytime soon, he has maintained his innocence in accusations against him and has not spoken out yet on the newest lawsuit he’s facing.
