Police: KKK Flyers found in Kentucky neighborhoods
FRANKFORT, Ky. (FOX 56) — Frankfort law enforcement is investigating local neighborhoods after Ku Klux Clan (KKK) flyers have been reported outside homes throughout the community.
According to Frankfort police, the flyers were found on neighborhood driveways.
This incident occurred just over a year after KKK flyers were found on cars in Mount Sterling neighborhoods.
The Frankfort Police Department (FPD) said in a news release Sunday that it “strongly condemns racism and all its forms” and added that Frankfort’s strength “lies in its diversity, and we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all our residents, regardless of race, ethnicity, or background.”
Authorities are currently investigating and asked anyone who has found a flyer or has information on who is distributing it to reach out to the FPD at (502) 875-8525 or via email at frankfrotpd@frankfort.ky.gov.
Police said those found responsible for participating in hate crimes in Frankfort will “face criminal charges to the fullest extent of the law.”
