MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) — Manatee County officials, along with a good Samaritan, helped rescue a woman trapped in flooded waters following Hurricane Debby.

On Tuesday afternoon, officials were conducting damage assessments, when they witnessed a vehicle driving through rising waters in Parrish.

The rescue video, captured on Golf Course Road at the entrance of Twin Rivers, shows the SUV veer off the roadway into Gamble Creek.

“It’s swift water man,” an official is heard saying to rescue teams.

Manatee County officials said on Tuesday that they rescued 210 people in more than 55 water rescues due to the flooding.

At its peak, Hurricane Debby dumped 13,000 cubic feet per second into Lake Manatee on Monday. Officials they were expelling nearly 13,800 cubic feet per second to keep up.

In Sarasota, roads are still flooded from the weekend storm, with some residents unable to get to their cars due to the rising waters.
